Nice Rains Should Bring Lake Level Up Again

We had a lot of phone calls at City Hall on Wednesday concerning the color of the drinking water. With more than four inches of rain last week, we had some rough raw water coming into the plant. Another inch or so fell last night and will help the lake rise. So far, the lake is up about 2 feet from the record low reported December 22nd. During the storm last Friday, we had a power surge hit a raw water intake pump and it is currently being rewound in Greenville.
