What's Happening
The Big Lake Fest is this weekend. The Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event and there will be a beauty pageant for kids, horseshoe-volleyball-kid's casting and basketball competitions, food booths, music and vendors. Looks like we will have nice weather for the events. The Festival is Saturday and activities start at 10 a.m.
The City Council will not meet on the 24th. We only had one item on the agenda and the Mayor said we can take care of it at the next meeting. Police Chief Jack Schultz had a very nice letter to the editor in this edition of the local newspaper.
The City Council will be holding a planning meeting, hopefully pretty soon in November. It is a chance for council members to set goals and priorities. That meeting, as well as all, will be open to the public.
