Great Weekend at the Lake

The Lake Fest came off well Saturday. The petting zoo sponsored by the Quinlan FFA was a hit. The Chamber of Commerce pulled off a good event and a lof of folks had nothing but good things to say about the improvements in the park, especially the new bathrooms. Parks & Wildlife is working on the boat launch on our side of the two mile bridge, taking advantage of the low water to make improvements.
Melanie and I fished Friday after work and caught 31 keepers and then Saturday after lake fest we kept 20 more. We were catching white bass and hybrids trolling the hellbender/pet spoon combination fishing near the Terrell Pump Station. We got a lot of house work done on Sunday and even cleaned up the boat and ended the weekend with our Sunday evening fish fry.
