All the rains that raised the lake level caused our four columbine plants to explode in blooms this spring.

Finally- Crappie

Caught three keepers at Anchor Inn after work today. Fish were in 13 feet of water. Lamont caught a very nice channel cat and it put up quite a fight on his crappie jigging pole. Maybe they will start biting

New Job Contract- Mom and Dinetha here next weekend

I received an extension to my contract with the City Tuesday night and I am very pleased. Sister Dinetha and Mom will be here next weekend for a lake visit, I guess a fish fry will be in order. We still have not starting catching the spawning crappie but we have plenty of catfish in the freezer.

This past week, we had Joey, Allison and Case, Johnny & Merikay, Matt, Missy, Hank, Will, Jana and Randy, Steve Staggs and Faye as well as Lamont & Sandy all stop by at one point or another. Had a great fish fry on Saturday with fresh catfish. It was good to have everyone visit and enjoy decent weather (kinda windy) and here are a few more photos of Case...

Birds Galore

Steve Staggs and I tried to crappie fish Sunday but it is still a bit early. We saw lots of birds on the water, like this bunch of pelicans and comorants. The crappie should be in the shallow water pretty soon and we will be waiting on them
