Joey is in China, Short Case & Allison Visit

We got to see Case and Allison earlier this week as Joey is in China on an educational exchange trip (see justforcase.blogspot.com for a couple of photos). While on a snake killing expedition to a neighbors' house, Case got a bug bite and his hear was really swollen. It did not damper his fun with Nanny and PawPaw.

Great Lake Weekend

Melanie and I enjoyed a rare weekend at home alone this past weekend. Gots lots of housework done, worked in the garage (does that ever end) and kept 36 white bass for the freezer. We have another free weekend coming up! Weather was mild (for a Texas summer) and we enjoyed jumping in the late when it got too hot to fish.

Water Plant Progress

We are now inside 8 weeks from the completion date of the new water plant. The crews from JR Sheldon & Company of Pilot Point have been steadily progressing to get the project done on time. We can't wait to fire that baby up.

Father's Day Weekend

We had a houseful as Merikay and Johnny's kids and their kids came for a lake weekend. Lots of boating, tubing, swimming, eating and a little fishing took place.
It was a good weekend, everyone helped out quite a bit. Even had close to an inch of rain Saturday. Lake is still above pool level and Melanie and I need to get busy and catch some fish as our freezer is looking pretty empty right now.

Nice rain last night

We picked up 1 1/2 inch of rain last night and the lake is already over the spillway by 3/4 of a foot.

Water Plant Progress

The Water Plant operations building is now going up. As soon as they finish the block wall, the electrician can get in and start installing controls. Still looking at an August completiton date.
